That is SO fucking wrong! It basically invalidates the entire movie - which STARTED the whole thing. There wouldn't BE an SG-1 television show if the movie hadn't been made. And that just strikes me as incredibly disrespectful. Not to mention they blew him the FUCK UP! With a nuclear weapon! That's not exactly conducive to staying alive. Ra was blown to microscopic, radioactive bits.
But apparently... it could be an alternate timeline. So if it was.... that would be okay.
And I'm sorry.... but Ra is not the biggest and baddest of the System Lords. It's Anubis, damn it! Of course... I am just a smidgen biased. ::laugh::
