And the awesome thing is that I can honestly see myself making some of the pieces in different fabric for every day wear. Because the coats and boleros are fantastic looking and right up my style. But I'm going to focus on the first project before I take on any others.

I'm keeping an eye out for other patterns that I like better or strike my fancy more, but for now? I can definitely work with these. They're labeled as steampunk rather than just straight up Victorian, but any differences might be negligible.

I might be writing articles for a website. Stumbled across it on accident, discovered they were looking for writers equally by accident, decided that hey, I have a large interest in the things they listed might as well give it a go… and wrote something up to send along

I didn’t hear back from them. I thought that it just wasn’t what they were looking for, so it wasn’t a big deal. Got home a little while ago, however, to find an email waiting for me.

Apparently he had sent me an email a few weeks back that I didn’t get. He sent me another (replied to the one that I had sent) inquiring as to whether or not I was still interested. After squeeing my fool head off internally, I shot off a quick reply letting him know that yes, YES, I’m still interested.

So… yeah. I’m kind of giddy.

I wish Katjes yoghurt gums were easier to get here in the states. They're the best gummi candy EVER, but they're so freakin' difficult to get a hold of here. It sucks.

Agent Francis York Morgan (just call him York) from Deadly Premonition/Red Seeds Profile. And Zach, of course. I think he'd make an awesome movie-watching buddy.

To continue to grow my hair out... or rock another pixie cut. That is the question. ::laugh:: I'm kind of torn. I want the long flowing locks, damn it. But I also want short and spiky and easy to manage. Also; the blue is fun and all, but I miss my redheadedness. And I've been wanting to try strawberry blonde for a while. But I have to get back to my natural hair colour to do it. Lopping off the dyed bits would be the easiest way.

Firefox has been pissing me off. To the point where I have switched to Google Chrome as my primary web browser. I got tired of Firefox's continual freezing, unfreezing, freezing, unfreezing. Etc, etc.

So... Finally heard from the seller on ebay. Had to send them another message that was polite but firm in the "I want the item I paid for" stance. Felt horribly guilty about it afterward though, Even though I shouldn't have. I mean, he's had my money for almost two weeks! Apparently I don't like confrontation.

But he said he would have it in the mail tomorrow. With a full refund. To which I told him I would rather he didn't. The money is his. All I wanted was for the item I won to be shipped. So hopefully he won't refund it. And hopefully he will actually do what he said.

My suspenders have arrived!! I much prefer calling them braces. Sounds more... I don't know. It's niftier sounding. ::laugh:: These are my starter braces. I'm planning on getting proper braces with buttons. But for now red clip braces it is. Time for a break from belts.

I re-coloured the streaks in my hair. Stayed blue because I already had the colour. WOW. The whole foiling thing is WAY more of a pain in the ass than I thought. It worked... but I missed a chunk of the streak in the back. So I'm going to have a random blond streak amidst the brown and blue.

Ah well, I shall embrace the blond streak. I can't see it, since it's in the back. So there's that, too. ::laugh::

The things I watch for actors I like. I'm watching this one for Bruce Boxleitner.

I'm on an intense Tron kick. Rewatched Tron Legacy, and I'm going to be watching the original some time soonish. I really need to find a decent Tron wallpaper for my computer. And it just occurred to me that I should make a Tron ring tone or five. I've been on a ring tone making kick as well, lately.

The theme is monster cakes... and if someone does not make a Godzilla or a Cthulhu cake I will be VERY disappointed.

Started playing Dragon Age 2 last night... and I'm enjoying the hell out of it. Side-questing like crazy at the moment, because I'm not allowing myself to go on the first main plot quest until after all the side-quests for this bit are done. Must. Finish. EVERYTHING. ::laugh:: The magically appearing foes in the streets are amusing... and annoying. The repeating maps are also not that fun. "Haven't I been here before?" No... not quite. But yes.

Another thing that bothers me is just how hard it is to read the text on the television. Makes me wish I'd gone for the PC version. I mean... SHEESH. Makes reading how armour and things compare to each other a bit of a pain in the ass. Part of it might be the television, of course... Might find out later.

Here there may be spoilers... )

I wish I could remember all the different choices I made in my various DA:O play-throughs. So I can upload different saves to see how it effects the DA: 2 storyline.

I'm experimenting with hair care. Currently I am sitting with my hair saturated with coconut oil in a towel. The towel's going to be a loss, because it's going to be GREASY. I'm hoping that once I wash and condition that my hair WON'T be.

With my luck, though... ::laugh::

So...

I've been using my tumblr for photos and movie reviews/commentaries. In an effort to post more fun things to my LJ, I may start posting the movie stuff here as well.

Watched Avalon High... and it was a surprisingly fun little movie. And the fact that they made the reincarnation of King Arthur a girl was more than a little awesome. Apparently it was changed from the books.

I think I may have to get my right knee checked out. I don't remember if I mentioned it on LJ, but during my stage managing of Cyrano de Bergerac for Prenzie, I hit my right knee very very hard on a large wooden box. At the time it hurt immediately when it happened, but eased up some after a while, though I still limped a little. So I thought it was all right... only to have major issues the next day. I was limping and if I wanted to cross my legs I had to manually move that leg. It was kind of bad. But after a few days... it went away and I didn't think much of it.

Then that knee started aching like crazy off and on. Which has made me wonder just what the hell I did to my knee. And there's a bump type thing on the knee cap where I hit it. It's bad enough that's my trick knee, with the occasionally popping out. I had to go and whack the hell out of it too.

My car started overheating rather abruptly while driving on Kimberly road. Had to call AAA and have them tow it to Firestone. Then I had to call a friend to come drive me and my mom home. Have no idea how I'm going to go pick up the car once it's fixed. If it GETS fixed at all. If it's the radiator again I don't think the car is worth putting $900+ into a second time. But it might be under warranty, in which case it won't be so bad.

FUCK. I had shit to do tonight.

So... there's this game for the XBox 360. And PS3 in Japan (where it's known as Red Seeds Profile, which really is a far more appropriate title). Deadly Premonition. It is the most amazing, weird, camp, fun game I think I've played in a long while. And I LOVE it. I've been suggesting it to friends. Because it is awesome. I highly recommend this game.

I think Francis York Morgan (just call him York. It's what everyone calls him) is my favourite video game character. Just because he's so quirky and weird.
